Hello! I'm Tyler Muranaka,
A Construction Management major at Northern Arizona University, graduating in 2026. My academic path started with computer science because I've always been passionate about technology and problem-solving. However, as I explored my interests, I realized construction management is where I wanted to be. It’s the perfect blend of my love for hands-on projects and my desire to see the results of my work in real, tangible forms.
My background in computer science has given me a unique perspective on problem-solving and efficiency, skills that I'm now applying to the construction field. The transition from software to structures wasn't about leaving one passion for another; it was about following a broader passion for building and creating, whether through code or concrete.
Outside of my studies, I'm all about the outdoors. Fishing gives me a sense of peace and patience, BMX and mountain biking keep me thrilled with challenges and adrenaline, camping connects me with nature, and watching UFC reminds me of the importance of strategy and resilience.
In short, I'm just a student who's enthusiastic about applying what I know to what I love, eager to make a difference in the construction industry. With a toolkit filled with programming skills and a mindset geared towards innovation, I'm ready to tackle the challenges this field has to offer.
